About Me

My name is German Kalinec. I'm originally from Argentina but I've lived in the US for most of my life. I've always had a passion for computers and education and I've been able to combine them in my career. I'm currently the Director of Technology at an amazing school, New Roads School where I've been working for 20 years.

I started this site because I've been wanting to work on a personal project that's been kicking around my head for a while now. Back when I first started my job I developed an LMS that ran my school for over 10 years. It has sine been retired but I always wanted a chance to rebuild it with current technology. I decided that I would start my own project and make it as a "portfolio" where I can talk about the decisions that went into making this LMS.

Since then this project has expanded into three projects: My LMS, a Drop-In CMS, and a Blogging Plugin for that CMS. You can find more information about them in this site, or my Github page. This site and pages have all been currently built by my CMS.

If you'd like to contact me, you can send me an email at german@kalinec.net

The class messaging feature aims to foster communication within the platform, enhancing its functionality beyond assessments.
